Tool

My goal is to be a very flexible person on the team. I am not only able to finish a shot smoothly and quickly, but can also create useful tools or comp settings for helping other team members. Here are some tools I have done on different projects. Hopefully, you will like them.

ColorPicker Range Gizmo

On Dr. Strange I created this tool to help me select individual faces on the mirror portal. This tool can create a custom mask based on the colors of the chosen face. To provide more control, I also added a range function which can select similar colors at the same time.

Flicker helper Gizmo

On Captain America: Civil War, I created a tool for a helicopter sequence to create a flickering effect. This Gizmo contains many different types of curves, such as Random, Bounce, and Sawtooth. I think the most interesting combination comes from playing around with the frequency or Max value and Min value, as shown in the curve editor.

​ ( P.S Unfortunately, our lead already created a simple flicker expression, so my Gizmo was not used by other team members in this sequence......sad..)

RGBmatte Gizmo

When you shuffle any R, G, or B channel, the Gizmo color will become that channel's color. If you choose two channels at the same time, the color will become A color + B color on the Gizmo. This tool helps people choose multiple channels at the same time as well as making their Nuke script more organized.
